Modern Asphalts magazine reports that Highways Authority Engineers are able to get on top of Pot Hole problems with Colas’s Colpatch cold Asphalt product that is made using Macfix® technology. Colpatch has the unique ability to be delivered and stored for long periods of time and can be applied in ‘all weathers ‘ without detriment to the filling material. The Pothole repair’s have been known to remain in place for not just months but years.

July and August 2009 saw the first productions of Cold Asphalt in Australia using the Macfix® additive technology; the first mixing trials were carried out on Boral’s Pilot Plant in Canberra CT.
