Modern Asphalts magazine reports that Highways Authority Engineers are able to get on top of Pot Hole problems with Colas’s Colpatch cold Asphalt product that is made using Macfix® technology. Colpatch has the unique ability to be delivered and stored for long periods of time and can be applied in ‘all weathers ‘ without detriment to the filling material. The Pothole repair’s have been known to remain in place for not just months but years.

UK Colas License extended for further 7 years...

Macismo International Limited is pleased to announce that as a result of positive feedback from the successful trials of COLPATCH with Nationwide customers since May 2005 Colas Ltd have extended the period of the License for the MACFIX® technology used in the COLPATCH mix.
One of Colas’s clients, the Road services manager for Aberdeen City Council, Mike Cheyne commented:
“We are looking for alternatives to an earlier material that needed dry conditions for laying and lots of compacting. We took up the offer to trial COLPATCH and had it for over a year using it in Pot Holes in all kinds of weather. The long Shelf life of COLPATCH, it’s availability in 25kg bags or Bulk open loads and the price all make it an attractive option. COLPATCH works well and we are certainly happy to continue using it.”
